Christian Long was raised in Anaheim, California in a household devoted to athletics. After injuries cut his football career short, he needed a new vocation to dedicate himself to. He took his dad’s camcorder and began filming shows in the Los Angeles music scene where he eventually began a career in music videos and documentaries working with artists like Eyedress, Paris Texas, and Faye Webster.
After 10 years of music video directing, he returned to athletics with a new outlook - blending his sports background with his experience in cinema, fashion, and music. Since the transition in 2025, he has captured Olympic gold medalists Shacarri Richardson and Tara Davis-Woodhall, as well as F1 drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. He has worked with Adidas Originals, Mercedes-AMG, and Converse Basketball creating social campaigns that have been some of the brand’s most engaging videos to date.
Christian’s intuitive approach to his work makes for a unique blend of artistry and naturalism. He is currently in production for his narrative directorial debut, Mouthpiece, a short film inspired by his experiences in youth football.
